Edward 4Obama to Pay Off Clinton's Debt

Nobody can deny that Clinton's persistence and tenacity in the primary election was impressive if not overdone. However that sort of drive in the political scene costs enormous amounts of money, money that Clinton apparently doesn't have.
Over the course of the primary elections Clinton dug herself into a twenty million dollar hole against the fundraising might of the Obama campaign. She was forced to borrow eight million and even donate twelve million dollars of her own money to the campaign. Now, as Obama courts Clinton and her supporters he has agreed to use his fundraising capabilities to help pay off some of Clinton's debt.
This kind of thing is the exact reason why I keep my money in the bank when it comes to politics. Why should I donate money to the Obama campaign when there's a chance it could be going to Clinton to pay off the twelve million dollars she owes herself. I had to cringe when the CNN headline at the bottom of my TV screen read, "Clinton Owes Self $12 Million." Now, I'm no financial whiz and I don't know much about campaign financing, but why should Obama supporters be helping Clinton pay back the money she owes herself?
Strange fundraising logistics such as this deter people such as myself from donating money to politicians. It cheapens and distances the donation from the cause for which the donater intends. Its like donating to one of those charitable casuses where the fine print informs you that only a fraction of your money is going to help those in need, the rest is for office supplies and salaries.
Clinton's inspired me. I think I'll blow my rent money this month on a new plasma TV and just tell myself I owe myself a thousand dollars.
